Super Thumb 4: 10/22 Speed Loader

To load your magazine it is simply a matter of bringing the top bullet (for follower) down and making room for the next round to be placed on top.  The thumb in front and the forefinger in back of the loader is most often used, drawing the top bullet down.  Some people with smaller hands often put the base of the magazine on a table or bench.  Then you bring the top bullet down then bring the next bullet to the top of the magazine where it catches the lip preventing the bullet below from coming back up.  This now allows you to bring the loader up far enough so the top bullet can be seated to the back of the magazine and you then start all over again.  

The steps are:

1. bring the top bullet down,

2. put in the next bullet,

3. bring the Super Thumb up far enough to seat the top bullet, and

4. come down on the top bullet starting all over.  

In about 15 minutes most people develop their own little knack and soon you can manipulate it without  even noticing you are reloading the magazine.  There is one key rule to remember.  If you are pushing too hard, you are doing something wrong because this is provided to make the labor easy for you.
